Abstract

The "EPIC-WE in Action" session brings together Games for Culture Cluster, Dutch Games Association and EPIC-WE to take a look into how different institutions collaborate, as well as presenting the games for culture concept to participants.

Speaker biographies

Aline Albertelli is a consultant and researcher at KEA, EPIC-WE Partner on Communication, Dissemination and Exploitation, and the community manager of b.creative, a global network connecting creative entrepreneurs. She holds a BA in Management for Arts, Culture, and Communication from Bocconi University and an MA in Cultural Economics and Entrepreneurship from Erasmus University Rotterdam. Beyond her professional roles, Aline remains deeply involved in academia, co-authoring research on governance tools for fostering creative innovation and social design. As the Communication, Dissemination, and Exploitation Officer for EPIC-WE, she ensures that its outcomes reach the widest audience and create a lasting impact.

Christina Tsita is a Research Associate at the Centre for Research and Technology Hellas (CERTH), specializing in user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design. Since 2016, she has contributed to numerous European, national, and private projects. Christina represents the Games for Culture Cluster (GCC), an initiative of the EU-funded MEMENTOES project, which currently includes seven members. She is also pursuing a PhD focused on serious games for cultural heritage. In addition to her research, Christina is active in the fine arts and has experience in museum and adult education.

Martine Spaans has been in the games industry since 2006. She has a background in game publishing; from web games to Mobile F2P to Roblox games and even some web3 games. Since 2013 she manages publishing label Tamalaki.com; a boutique F2P Mobile game publisher with a hands-on approach, specialised in Hidden Object, Match-3 and Simulation games. She joined the Dutch Games Association as General Manager in 2022, running the daily operations.
