You're a Dutch farmer facing disaster: melting ice in the Alps is flooding the Netherlands, and your cows, horses, sheep, and chickens are in danger. You must decide which animals to save first and chart your own path back to the farm. Freedom means responsibility: wait too long or take risks, and a flash flood can sweep everything away. Only the smartest and bravest farmer will rescue their animals and keep the farm safe.

Game through culture

"Flash Flood" draws from Dutch cultural heritage, particularly flood disasters where animals drowned as people fled to save themselves. Archive footage of horses and cows struggling in water inspired our core mechanic: a rising wave that floods the Wadden Islands and threatens livestock. The game reflects the EU value of freedom paired with responsibility: players choose between self-preservation and cooperation. This tension mirrors real-world climate challenges where individual liberty must balance with collective action to protect biodiversity.
