Blue Brigade

Enforce state rules as a Portuguese officer before 1974. Censor civilians and uphold patriotism.

"Blue Brigade" is a satirical game where you step into the shoes of a Portuguese officer before 1974, enforcing censorship and state rules. Following orders, you block anything deemed unpatriotic, from books to casual conversations. The game’s lighthearted visuals mask a deeper message about the absurdity of oppression. No matter how strict you are, revolution is inevitable.

Game for culture

The game aims to highlight the absurdity and extremity of the restrictions imposed during the Portuguese dictatorship. By placing the player in the role of an officer of the International and State Defence Police (Polícia Internacional e de Defesa do Estado, PIDE), tasked with censoring everything from hats and casual conversations to books, it seeks to create an emotional connection and illustrate how individuals were mistreated and stripped of their individuality.
